Initiation of Children into Sacraments
First Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation
The Schedule of the Program is announced at the beginning of each year. Registration forms along with the Schedule are available in the foyer of the church It is important for all practising Catholics to register their children for the Sacramental Program at the beginning of the year. There are separate programs for First Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation.
The parents and children preparing for the Sacrament meet in small groups in one of the homes. The group to meet and the host and the leader of the group are determined in the first meeting of the parents.
In preparing their children for the Sacraments the parents should show the children that they mean & value what they say. Parents have the primary responsibility for their children’s faith formation. To prepare the children for the Sacraments, parents work with the teachers from the parish School and the Co-ordinator.
