St Felix Primary School

St Felix Primary began in 1853. Because of the financial constraints, for the first three decades St Felix School had a precarious existence, constantly closing and reopening.Archbishop Moran sought help from Mother Mary MacKillop and in 1887 the Josephite Sisters took over the school, which then had about forty pupils. Since the establishment of the parish in 1916, the enrolments increased significantly to over 400 in 1940 and 804 in 1960. In 1983, the Josephites ended their eighty year leadership and Mrs Shirley Jackson as the first lay principal. Now St Felix is a full two stream Parish Primary School for boys and girls. The latest Extensions to St Felix School were blessed by bishop Geoffrey Robinson in 1997. Margaret Heslin is the Principal. Applications for admissions can be made before May of the previous year.

All the active parishioners have the first preference for enrolment and others are considered only after exhausting the active parishioners.

La Salle Catholic College

In 1951, at the time of Fr. Corridon an Intermediate School for boys was opened. Twenty years earlier, when the idea was first seriously aired, it had been believed that Marist Brothers would staff the school. But the challenge was taken up by De La Salle Brothers. Though it started as a parish school, in 1956 it became a regional school. Later Benilde High School and Nazareth College were established on site to complement Secondary Education. But in 1999, through rationalization and reorganization, Benilde and Nazareth disappeared and La Salle College was established for boys from year 7 to year 12. Girls are back to the campus in 2004 as they are admitted to Year 11. Brother John Pill is the Principal. Applications for admissions can be made before May of the previous year
